RESPONSIBILITIES:


As the Product Development Manager, you’ll lead the product roadmap and work along with our designers, engineers, factory managers, and the Velvet Caviar founder/head of product. Your primary responsibilities:


  • Manage daily communications with factories overseas
  • Improve existing products’ features, quality, costs
  • Create tech packs for new product concepts
  • Source, screen, and negotiate new factories
  • Create Purchase Orders
  • Manage packaging and insert design updates
  • Manage production schedules & deadlines
  • Establish & maintain Quality Control processes
  • Research new product opportunities & style trends
  • Monitor competitors and evolving market dynamics
  • Maintain product management charts for each level of product development
  • Manage sample process for product team and marketing team
  • Track samples and production goods
  • Manage sample storage in-office


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree of relevance is required
  • Minimum 4+ years of product development experience
  • Track record of launching and improving products
  • Experienced working with international factories
  • Detail oriented, very organized, and fast paced
  • Strong analytical skills for factories and product samples
  • Impeccable communication, costing, and negotiation skills
  • Collaborative individual ready to lead team meetings
  • Creative thinker and strong problem solver
  • Able to conduct extensive research and present thoroughly
  • Motivated to succeed and go above and beyond as needed
  • Comfortable with mixed work hours, occasional evenings for meetings with factories overseas
  • Comfortable with hybrid work environment
  • Comfortable with Google Suite (docs, sheets, slides, drive)
  • Preferred skills with Illustrator and Photoshop
