Title: Cloud Security Engineer | Full Time | Memphis, TN (Hybrid)

About the Role: We're seeking a skilled Cloud Security Engineer to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security within cloud environments, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data. You’ll conduct risk assessments, implement security controls, respond to security incidents, and help continuously improve our cloud infrastructure's security posture.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and resolve security vulnerabilities in cloud infrastructure.
  • Build, deploy, and manage cutting-edge security tools and services.
  • Design scalable processes for secure cloud access provisioning.
  • Ensure the infrastructure remains reliable, secure, and user-friendly.
  • Monitor and respond to security alerts, minimizing false positives.
  • Develop detailed event response documentation, including system environment and cloud operation diagrams.
  • Collaborate with security leadership, engineering, and compliance teams to execute security strategies.
  • Assist teams in addressing security issues while adhering to best practices.
  • Regularly assess cloud security, proposing enhancements.
  • Review architecture and design through a security-first perspective and provide timely recommendations.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on security tools, processes, and applications.


Qualifications:

  • Experience with security tools like vulnerability scanners, IDS/IPS, and endpoint monitoring.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines for change management and automated security testing.
  • Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux servers and networking.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages (Python, Java, C++, or Ruby).
  • Familiarity with database programming and administration.
  • Skilled in log management and correlation systems.
  • Expertise in cloud and network security.
  • Proficiency in SQL for building queries, dashboards, and reports.
  • Solid knowledge of networking and web protocols.
  • Familiarity with modern cloud technology components and deployment patterns.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with an analytical approach to problem-solving.


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience working with public cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.


Preferred Certifications:

  • NIST or ISO certifications are a plus.
