Irvine, CA - This position cannot be done remotely


BENEFITS

SOME OF WHAT YOU’LL DO

Catalyst Creative is looking for a full-time Senior Product Developer to join our Product Development team Candidates must have import, private label, and development experience, as well as, possess strong product knowledge, be organized, self-motivated, detail orientated, have excellent written/oral communication skills and have a POSITIVE attitude.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage the development and approval process including fabric, lab dips, strike offs, trim, TP review, and sampling up to order placement and handoff to production team.

Fabric and trim R&D with mills and/or vendors

Manage and execute against customer calendars and milestones

Master and execute customer specifications & procedures

Manage development WIP tracker with vendors and internal teams to ensure on-time sample deliveries

Prepare and maintain style files and standards for handover to Production team at order placement stage

Manage daily communication with overseas suppliers and maintain vendor relationships

Negotiate and manage costing including cost engineering to meet price and margin goals

Manage cost Benchmarks

Vet potential quality issues and establish standards and variances for production that align with customers specification across:

Garment construction

Fabric, print, wash characteristics and variances

Testing

Attend Fittings & help to trouble shoot as needed

Communicate, interface and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with Merchandising, Design, Sales, Technical Design and Production

Perform other related duties as assigned

Costing – knowledge of cost components, able to estimate garment cost, cost negotiation and engineering
