PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Responsible for maintaining a secure, robust and stable computing environment. Performs assessment and remediation of security vulnerabilities and implements appropriate controls to mitigate problem areas and avoid future risks. Performs system access control in a mixed Windows Active Directory Domain and Linux environment. Enables secure, segmented switching and routing infrastructure. Maintains building physical security system to include electronic barrier controls, alerting, monitoring and CCTV system. Provides secure intranet (LAN/WAN) and internet access controls. Coordinates with Quanta entities, outside agencies and customers related to system security functions.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

IT Security vulnerability mitigation and risk avoidance planning and implementation.

Focal POC for Security Audits (internal and external sourced).

Conduct/oversee IT Security vulnerability and risk assessments of systems and networks.

Design, implement, and manage security protocols and measures to safeguard the organization's systems and networks.

Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and vulnerability scanners.

Prepare site for ISO certifications related to IT Security.

Monitor security alerts and incidents, and respond promptly to mitigate risks.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement incident response plans.

Provide training on security best practices and ensure adherence to security policies and procedures.

Configure and maintain security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus solutions.

Create, update, and maintain security policy documents as needed.

Maintenance and Administration of building security system

Coordination with Security Team related to building security systems

Oversee Active Directory security posture.

Create, deploy, and monitor Active Directory Group Policies related to system security.

File server and system database access controls, monitoring and review.

Maintain auditing and alerting system for breach attempts (internal/external) and respond as required.

Oversight of antivirus server deployment, client deployment, scanning, updates, and event mitigation.

Manage data access (firewalls, ACL’s DMZ’s and routing structures).

Manage VPN access for employees and WEB VPN access for external customers.

Create or purchase, apply and maintain SSL certificates.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related field and 3 years Systems Security Administration experience or an equivalent combination of education, certifications and experience.

Certifications preferred: ISSA certifications (Security+, Network+, Cybersecurity Analyst, PenTest+, and Advanced Security Practitioner)

Proven experience as a Systems Security Administrator or a similar role in a moderate to large enterprise LAN/WAN corporate environment.


OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Proven experience as a Systems Security Administrator or a similar role in a moderate to large enterprise LAN/WAN corporate environment.

Industry certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).

Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).

5 to 7 years of experience with Windows server 2003 – 2019 and windows 7, 8.1, 10, 11.

Linux system hardening experience.

Experience dissecting and analyzing network packets and use of tools for scans and packet sniffing.

Experience with conducting and oversight of vulnerability and risk assessments.

Experience with encryption technologies deployed with VPN, IPSec Tunnels, Secure web sites.

Experience with corporate client/server deployed malware mitigation technologies and methodologies.

Experience with system security auditing and alerting software tools.

Ability to read, write and speak fluent English.
