Position Summary

The Industrial Architectural Designer will be responsible for creating and developing architectural designs for industrial facilities. This role involves collaborating with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure designs meet technical specifications, regulatory requirements, and client expectations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, creativity, and a deep understanding of industrial design principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design Development: Develop conceptual and detailed designs for industrial facilities, including layouts, elevations, and construction details.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure design feasibility and compliance with project requirements.
  • Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed architectural drawings, plans, and specifications using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
  • Code Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Project Management: Assist in managing project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their needs, present design proposals, and incorporate feedback into the final design.
  • Sustainability: Integrate sustainable design practices and materials into projects where possible.
  • Quality Control: Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure construction aligns with design specifications and quality standards.
  • Innovation: Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continually enhance design solutions.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Industrial Design, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial architectural design.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Revit software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.), 3D modeling, and visualization tools.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of industrial building systems, materials, and construction methods.
  • Skills: Excellent design, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Certification: Architectural license or certification is preferred but not required.
  • Attributes: Detail-oriented, creative, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
