POSITION SUMMARY

The Sales Representative National Retail Sales (Route Sales), as a wine sales representative for NRS grocery stores, is responsible to promote and sell wine products to national chains and independent grocery stores, increase sales, and provide exceptional customer service. The position is also responsible for providing top notch support for and focus on assigned accounts of the organization with respect to market presence and growth. This position will be in the market daily.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

1. Product Knowledge: Develops and maintains extensive knowledge of wine products.

2. Sales and Merchandising: Ensures wine products are displayed attractively, accurately priced, and easily accessible to customers; develops and implements effective sales strategies to drive sales growth.

3. Inventory Management: Monitors inventory levels, manages stock levels, and reports any discrepancies to management.

4. Communication: Collaborates with store managers and other stakeholders to optimize product offerings, promotions, and events.

5. Adherence to Store Policies: Follows store policies, procedures, and standards for sales operations.

6. Follows store planners provided by corporate office as well as internal goals and objectives.

7. Builds, develops, and maintains good customer relationships.

8. Maintains confidentiality of company and client information.

9. Reacts productively to change.

10. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED; a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a related industry especially with grocery stores; and/or equivalent education or experience in job related activities is required.


OTHER SKILLS

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds; ability to speak, hear, see, sit, stand, walk, reach, handle, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; ability to speak, read and write in English; strong interpersonal, problem solving, and analytical skills; strong written and oral communication skills; self-starter; excellent customer service skills; ability to think on feet and address issues quickly; relevant wine or spirit accreditation; proficiency with Microsoft Office, Pocket Advantage, Power BI; ability to think, concentrate, and learn.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

Position is in an office setting and in the assigned market that involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions. Position is subject to daily travel to assigned accounts and a fluid work schedule.
