Position Overview:

We are seeking two skilled and compassionate Physical Therapists to join our team on a contract basis. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a critical role in assessing, planning, and providing physical therapy services to our residents at the our client's Veterans Home. Your expertise will help improve the mobility, independence, and overall quality of life for our veteran residents.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess residents' physical therapy needs by conducting thorough evaluations and developing individualized treatment plans.
  • Implement and monitor treatment programs to restore function, improve mobility, alleviate pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and optimize patient outcomes.
  • Educate residents and their families on exercises, treatment plans, and how to safely perform activities of daily living.
  • Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
  • Adapt therapy programs to meet the specific needs and abilities of each resident.
  • Provide compassionate and respectful care, ensuring the dignity and well-being of our residents at all times.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of physical therapy practices, techniques, and equipment.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid state license as a Physical Therapist in New Mexico, or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting, preferably with experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation, or long-term care.
  • Strong understanding of physical therapy principles, techniques, and equipment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality care and improving patient outcomes.


Location and Considerations: This position is located in Santa Clara, NM. While local candidates are preferred, non-local candidates may also be considered for this position. Housing or travel stipends may be available for qualified candidates.


Compensation:

  • Bill Rate: $45/hour
