Salem, United States Ultimate Staffing Full time

We are looking for a self-motivated legal assistant to join our Social Security Disability team that will provide services under the supervision of an attorney. The candidate must be organized and detail oriented, have a professional demeanor, be able to handle large volumes of work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities and Skills Include:

  • Must have very good computer use proficiency. Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Outlook and Word, web-based applications and downloads, and Adobe pdf required
  • Should also include printing, faxing, scanning, copying and pasting, writing emails, preparing legal documents, and other similar activities
  • Devote attention to identify errors and make necessary corrections.
  • Proficient in handling of case files, monitor deadlines, and other important documents in an orderly and timely manner, must be able to complete tasks assigned in a timely manner
  • Present themselves and behave in a professional manner with a positive friendly attitude extending curtesy and kindness to those with whom you interact, in person, on the phone and through email
  • Prefer knowledge of Social Security procedures for filing disability claims

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree Required
  • Prior office experience - 3 to 5 years
