Process Planner

Job Purpose

At Elite Metal Finishing, LLC., the Process Planners support our Shop Traveler activities,

organizing production according to customer demand and company quality standards. The

Planners primary function is to ensure that purchase orders are created and pushed

through to the Production Department to ensure timely turnaround time on said job orders.

A successful Process Planner will be well-versed in production procedures, be organized

and results-driven with great problem-solving skills. Advanced communication and

computer skills are required.

The Planning Department supports Elite Metal Finishing quality initiatives, which includes

the Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, and Quality Management System and drives

continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

Primary duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Monitor daily incoming and outgoing email to ensure all communication regarding
• new, open, or on-hold jobs are processed accordingly and in a timely manner.
• Create and/or correct Shop Travelers in accordance with customer and Blueprint
• requirements, make copies of blueprints, create sales order, and complete all
• related procedures.
• Revise, sign, scan, and email certifications to customers
• Maintain open communication with customers providing order them with status,
• confirming specs, finishes or discrepancies.
• Approve Buy-Off orders IAW customer and blueprint requirements.
• Answer overflow of incoming company calls from main switchboard.
• Attend Epicor or other company required training, as necessary.
• Supporting customer and regulatory audits of Receiving functions and activities
• Supporting the Quality Department by participating in audits, corrective action
• efforts, adjusting in policy/procedure, generating reports, and maintaining records
• Support Development of digital coupon inventory and order as necessary
• Monitor Accuracy of Receiving incoming orders, tagged boxes, created labels,
• match quantities, customer info, date reviewed, process, etc.
• Respond to emails and phone calls from both internal and external customers
• throughout the day.
• Support implementation of paint info in Epicor and into MES.
• Support Development of SOP-12 Revision to incorporate digital improvements.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

• High School Diploma required - Degree Preferred.
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong Math Skills
• Excellent Customer Service
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends as required.
