Job Overview: The O&M Civil Employee is responsible for the operation and maintenance of civil infrastructure. This includes trees, earth, water and wastewater systems, and other civil structures. The role requires a strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices, as well as practical experience in maintenance and operations.
This is an entry level role that would be ideal for a recent civil undergrad or construction program student.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of civil infrastructure.
- Identify and report any issues or damages.
- Coordinate with the O&M team to develop maintenance schedules and plans.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety regulations and standards.
- Participate in the planning and execution of civil projects.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and cost estimates for maintenance activities.
- Provide technical support and advice to the management team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Preferred, not required.
- Proven experience in operations and maintenance of civil infrastructure.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
