Key Responsibilities

  • Project Support: Assist the Superintendent in managing and overseeing all aspects of heavy civil construction projects, including utilities, roads, bridges, and sewer systems.
  • Team Coordination: Help lead and supervise construction teams, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity on-site.
  • Scheduling Assistance: Support the development and maintenance of project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
  • Budget Monitoring: Assist in monitoring project budgets, controlling costs, and ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Quality Assurance: Help implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure high standards of workmanship.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Proven experience in heavy civil construction, specifically in utilities, roads, bridges, or sewer projects.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines.
  • Local Knowledge: Familiarity with New York City building codes and regulations.
