Position: ETL Developer

Location: Irving, TX - hybrid 3 days onsite

Type - Direct hire


Client is seeking qualified applicants for the position of ETL Developer. This position is responsible for the design, development, testing, debugging, and optimization of ETL to support client’s data integration environment. This role will establish, inspect, and enforce ETL standards as well as define ETL architecture on new data requests. This position will be required to perform maintenance and remediation of data transformation environments outside of normal work hours when necessary.


Job Duties:

  • Uses different data warehousing concepts to maintain the operational data store and data warehouse.
  • Design, develop, automate, and support complex applications to extract, transform, and load data.
  • Translates data access, transformation, and movement requirements into functional requirements and mapping designs.
  • Works closely with DBAs and systems administrators to release changes into quality and production environments.
  • Design and develop data pipelines to ingest, store and process data from multiple sources.
  • Extract, transform and load data from source systems to Azure Data Storage Services using a combination of Azure Data Factory, T-SQL, Spark SQL, and U-SQL Azure Data Lake Analytics.
  • Data ingestion in one or more Azure Services (Azure Data Lake, Azure Storage, Azure SQL and Azure DW) and processing data into Azure Databricks.
  • Develop and maintain data models to support data analysis and reporting.
  • A successful candidate will have a solid understanding of the data warehousing architecture and concepts as well as ETL standards


Requirements:

  • 4+ years’ experience with Data Integrations tools such as Informatica, Talend, or SSIS Understanding of data modeling and database design principles
  • Experience using deployment frameworks to promote artifacts from development to production.
  • Experience working with building operational data stores and data warehouses using Oracle, SQL Server or any other traditional databases.
  • Experience automating/monitoring/migrating jobs in different environments using AutoSys, Control-M, CA Workload Automation, or any other scheduling tool.
  • Experience working with any of the leading cloud platforms Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google Cloud


Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related fields
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and Agile Project Methodologies
  • Experience using INFORMATICA Intelligent Cloud Solutions or PowerCenter
  • Experience using Databricks with Microsoft Azure Cloud or exposure to 2+ years of experience with PL/SQL development
