We are currently looking for someone to fill the Plant Maintenance Technician for IFPC at our Prairie Street location. This person will be responsible for all maintenance operations throughout the plant.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform maintenance duties as directed by maintenance supervisory staff. Daily, weekly, and monthly PM
  • Communicate daily with all staff and production about maintenance activity planned/unplanned.
  • Operate plant equipment within established procedures
  • Follow all plant safety procedures to protect employees and company assets.
  • Follow all quality assurance requirements as outlined in the QC manual to protect product quality, integrity and food safety.
  • Complete necessary maintenance record keeping in a timely manor
  • Follow established plant housekeeping requirements.
  • Contribute to team environment by sharing ideas for continuous improvement by participating in monthly HACCP meeting.

·       Assist with any and all other duties that may be asked

·       Will work with personnel from other departments when required.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL LEVEL

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in maintenance functions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook helpful but not required
  • Basic welding, Electrical, mechanical, and plumbing skills

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB

  • Lift 60 lbs. –Frequently
  • Carry 60 lbs. –Frequently
  • Bend/Stoop – Frequently
  • Climb/Work at Heights (100 ft) –Frequently
  • Reach above Shoulder level - Frequently
  • Push/Pull –Frequently
  • Squat/Crouch – Frequently
  • Extreme hot and cold conditions will be encountered

 

WORK SCHEDULE

·      Must be willing to work 1st, 2nd, and/or 3rd shifts.

·      Must be willing to work a temporary assignment, alternative schedule or shift as requested by the Plant Manager.

·      Non-exempt employees are required to work all scheduled weekend or overtime shifts when the need arises.
