Plant Maintenance Specialist

- Install, repair, and maintain a variety of mechanical systems, including pumps, seals, bearings, and valves, to ensure optimal equipment performance and efficiency.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance and inspections to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan, ensuring minimal disruptions to production.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues during breakdowns, providing quick and effective resolutions to restore operations and maintain productivity.
- Support plant projects, including new equipment installations, upgrades, and refurbishments, to improve production efficiency and meet business objectives.
- Collaborate with plant operators and contractors to ensure safe and efficient completion of all maintenance activities, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Operate, maintain, and repair a range of plant equipment, including chillers, air compressors, agitators, spray dryers, vibratory conveyors, and packaging lines, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and schematic diagrams for system installations and troubleshooting, applying technical knowledge and expertise.
- Maintain plant utilities and assist with general building maintenance tasks, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times, prioritizing employee safety and well-being.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a maintenance-related position or a 2-year technical degree in Industrial Maintenance is required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in pump repair, pipe fitting, and seal replacement is essential.
- Familiarity with electrical systems, including 480V 3-phase, 220/110 Single Phase, and Low Voltage wiring, is required.
- Ability to read and comprehend industrial machinery schematics, manuals, and technical specifications is necessary.
- Basic understanding of Motor Control Centers (MCCs), motor starters, and motor connections is required.
- Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to quickly resolve mechanical issues are essential.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment is necessary.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and contractors are required.
