Company Overview:

We are a large retail company based in the United States with numerous retail stores nationwide. We are currently seeking a talented Store Interior Designer or Drafter to join our team in West Covina. This full-time, on-site position requires a commitment of 5 days per week.


Responsibilities:

- Store Layout Planning: Develop efficient and effective store layouts that maximize space utilization and enhance the shopping experience.

- Design and Drafting: Create detailed drawings, plans, and specifications for store interiors, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details.

- Collaboration: Work closely with the headquarter designer in China, the store operations team, 3rd party architect and contractors to ensure design feasibility and adherence to project timelines.

- Space Optimization: Analyze store space to propose innovative solutions for improving store traffic flow, product displays and follow Miniso design standard.

- Regulatory Compliance: Be able to do research online and ensure all designs comply with safety regulations, and ADA requirements.

- Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from concept through completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.

- Visualization: Produce 3D renderings and visualizations to effectively communicate design concepts to stakeholders.

- Feedback Integration: Gather feedback from store managers and employees to continuously improve store design and layout strategies.

- Site Visits: Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, oversee construction progress, and ensure design intent is realized.


Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.

- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other design software. Experience with 3D rendering software is a plus.

- Knowledge: Strong understanding of space planning principles, retail design trends, and building codes.

- Creativity: Innovative and creative thinking with an eye for detail and aesthetics.

- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present design concepts clearly. Be able to do communicate with designer in China.

- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple stakeholders.

- Time Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.


Additional Requirement:

  • This position requires 5 days on-site from Monday to Friday in the West Covina office.
