Senor Embedded Software Engineer


Mission Peak is seeking an experienced embedded software developer/engineer for a full-time and on-site position in the San Francisco Bay Area. This engineer would have expertise in Linux/Android hardware abstraction layer (HAL, kernel) design, specifically focused on WiFi / WLAN connectivity service development. Prior experience with WPA Supplicant or WiFi Supplicant is required. The use case would be the design of cutting edge wireless consumer electronics.


Description


  • Design WiFi services in Linux kernel layer, on a consumer device platform
  • Write middleware features to hook applications to WiFi drivers
  • Integration of connectivity chipset drivers and firmware into OS
  • Developing with WPA supplicant
  • Development in Android environment, using SDK


Requirements


  • At least 5 years of experience in embedded software development, specifically in Linux or Android kernel layer
  • At least 3 years of experience in networking stack implementation, specifically 802.11x WiFi stack
  • Hands-on software development experience in embedded C environment
  • Working knowledge of Python or JavaScript
  • Detailed knowledge of Linux operating system, especially HAL and WPA supplicant
  • Experience with wireless driver integration and development
