We’re looking for a self-starter who has both hustle and charm, a love for what’s current and trending, a desire to do good work, and a keen eye for details. You’ll be our team’s social media lead, championing BARÚ’s vision and our client’s marketing initiatives for the agency. This means everything from crafting presentations, developing strategic proposals, engaging regularly with clients, and rolling up your sleeves to monitor and optimize performance across multiple platforms. Your extensive background in marketing and social strategy allows you to do this with ease.

 

You’ll report to our Digital Media Supervisor and VP of Integrated Media, who are heavily involved in the daily needs of our clients. You’ll work on a small but mighty team, with support from our Creative and Strategic Account groups. You will also work cross- functionally within our agency to create client proposals and new business pitches with supporting team members.


Summary of Duties


This position is both strategic and tactical in scope, requiring the ability to provide actionable insights as well as effective optimization strategies to drive social media performance and results. This position requires the individual to exercise discretion and independent judgment under only general supervision. This is a bilingual role that requires fluency in both English and Spanish.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


• Expert knowledge in driving business goals for paid media campaigns on social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X, Snap, Pinterest, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube


• Deep understanding of building nuanced audiences for targeted campaigns and optimization strategies against intended audiences (i.e. Hispanic, Asian and Black/AA


• Translate client parameters and budgets into campaign set-up and launch


• Knowledge of both paid and organic social media space, KPIs and measurement methods to ensure campaign optimizations


• Experience in planning, implementing and managing Influencer activations


• Strong understanding of performance metrics and critical KPI evaluation skills in order to generate campaign insights


• Create social performance dashboards and presentations


• Provide ongoing social reporting and insights to internal teams and clients detailing performance, campaign optimizations and new opportunities


• Ideal knowledge of how Social Media integrates with other elements of the media ecosystem, specifically digital


• Gather and present data from social partners in easily digestible formats


• Pulse on trends in the social space to unlock new opportunities for clients, and develop and lead POV papers


• Research competitive and other Brand Social Media initiatives in order to provide industry insights and best practices


• Ability to work in leading social management tools such as Sprout, Sprinklr, Socialbakers, Hubspot, Brandwatch, etc.


• Although this is a Paid Social Media Manager role, experience in organic and community management is appreciated.


• Experience with social listening to determine social insights and plan content based on learnings


• Fully bilingual: ability to develop and proofread posts across social platforms in English and Spanish


• Maintain a keen editor’s eye with copy and creative. Strong attention to detail with grammar and spelling accuracy


• Support the media, accounts and production teams on delivery of all social media assets and analysis/reporting across social platforms


• Partner with senior team members as a subject matter expert and internal champion of Social Media (Paid and Organic) best practices


• Manage project schedules, workflow and content calendars, ensuring on-time delivery of client deliverables 


• Inputting and monitoring of paid media schedules as well as trafficking creative rotations


• Manage pacing for campaigns to ensure appropriate delivery


• Coordinate with Finance teams to ensure timely and accurate client billing and social account payments. Reconcile invoices against original purchase plans


• Provide ongoing social reporting and insights to internal teams and clients detailing performance, campaign optimizations and new opportunities


• Gather and present data from social partners in easily digestible formats


• Ability to work on tight client deadlines when required


• Lead the social creative QA process and approvals to ensure flawless campaign execution; lead quality assurance of campaign execution by ensuring campaigns are live and reflect appropriate creative weighting


Additional Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot social campaigns and manage all inbound requests with social platforms

• Collaborate with outside vendors to develop and monitor media executions

• Support process improvement projects to drive increased efficiencies and ease of doing business with both internal and external shareholders

• Generate live photos and screenshots to create Proof of Performance reports

• Utilize research tools to conduct research requests from clients and prospective clients


Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. 


Education/Skills/Experience

• Bilingual – Spanish/English required

• Bachelor's degree in advertising, communications, marketing, or a related discipline is preferred, though

candidates with relevant experience who hold other degrees will be considered

• 2-4 years of experience in paid social media and trafficking, as well as working knowledge of digital media

• A positive outlook, and driven to excel and thrive in an exciting, fast-paced environment

• Demonstrated ability to be highly detail-oriented and agile, working across multiple account verticals

• Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to foster productive

relationships within a cross-functional team

• Well-versed in Meta Ads Manager, X Ads Manager, Pinterest Ads, Snap Ads and LinkedIn Ads and YouTube

Platform

• Background in Paid Search with Google AdWords, Bing, etc a plus.

• Experience with web analytics tools/data such as Google Analytics, WebTrends, Omniture, etc.

• Direct experience with performance-based media and optimization including an understanding of social media KPIs and attribution

• Strong analytical skills and confidence in making data-based decisions

• Strong proficiency in Google Suite, MS Office, including pivot tables, chart making and manipulations of large data sets.

• Ability to diagnose technical issues on a variety of platforms and tools in order to address system problems.

• Effective time management skills – ability to prioritize and meet deadlines;

• Comfortable working individually and collaboratively to drive business forward;

• Strives for continued learning opportunities to build upon craft.

• Understanding of media research a plus (e.g. ComScore, Simmons, Nielsen and media billing tools (Prisma, Strata)

• Familiarity with social media management tools is a must

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full time, hybrid position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with Tuesdays through Thursdays working from company headquarters. All employees must work 37.5 hours each week to maintain full time status.
