Our client stands at the forefront of the global market, pioneering the development and distribution of innovative, sustainable tobacco products to a diverse customer base spanning over 120 nations. They are looking for a People & Culture Associate (HR Generalist) to join their team in their new Manufacturing/Processing Facility in Danville, Virginia.
Your new role
As a part of the People and Culture Team, you will drive HR efforts for their brand-new manufacturing/processing facility. Collaborating closely with the HRBP, you will be supporting talent management, handling onboarding and offboarding processes, participating in employer branding activities, maintaining employee data in HR systems, and providing general support for various P&C projects and initiatives. The role also requires collaboration with Global Business Support on HR activities and offers opportunities for interaction with different stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
What you will need to succeed
- 2-3 years of HR expertise, indicative of a Generalist/ HR Operations skillset
- Proven experience working in a start-up or smaller growing organization, ideally within a manufacturing, plant, or similar environment.
- Practical experience (ideally with global teams), encompassing a range of HR functions such as Employee Lifecycle, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Learning & Development.
- A thorough understanding of HR platforms, including but not limited to SAP and SuccessFactors, and MS Office tools.
- The capability to operate both autonomously and collaboratively, with a history of effective cross-departmental cooperation.
- Demonstrated skills in articulating ideas and exerting influence throughout the organization.
