Role Summary: The Financial Advisor role is responsible for managing the client experience for a portion of the firm’s existing clients.  Specific duties include preparing personalized financial plans, leading review meetings, proactive communication with clients, and supporting the Managing Principal with maintaining client relationships.  They will partner with an Operations team to execute on client requests.  Development of new client business is rewarded. 


Job Description 

  • Build and maintain client relationships in partnership with Managing Principal 
  • Independently manage client accounts with less complexity 
  • Lead regular financial planning and investment review meetings 
  • Embrace investment strategy of the firm and provide investment education and recommendations 
  • Cultivate relationships with NexGen family clients 
  • Supports Managing partner by attending client meetings, taking comprehensive notes, and completing follow up steps. 
  • Prepares client meeting agendas and action items 
  • Keeps all client financial plans and wealth management notebooks current and accurate 
  • Supports clients service team in answering questions for clients and assists in processing client requests as needed 
  • Interfaces with the broker-dealer or custodian to obtain information or account data and convey service requests 
  • Sets up and retrieves reports in the financial management software systems  
  • Manages all important details of clients and prospects in CRM

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • 3-7 years of financial planning and investment experience  
  • CFP Certification 
  • Series 7, 65 licenses

  • Exceptional communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and presentation skills 
  • Extremely high attention to detail 
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team

  • Understanding of brokerage regulations and rules that govern client accounts 
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Experience with financial planning/management software (MoneyGuide Pro, Redtail, NetX 360, Charles Schwab, Orion)
