Job Summary

The IT Program Management Office (PMO) Manager is a member of our companies Information Technology Department, responsible for providing leadership and direction over all Information Technology projects and initiatives. This role encompasses leadership of resource management, budget management for both capital and General and Administrative spending, and oversight of project management within the IT department, with a strong emphasis on budget management, meeting deadlines, and completing project deliverables and objectives while maintaining excellent customer service. The PMO Manager will manage strategic and tactical functions and participate in planning to achieve future business objectives. It is also critical that this position ensures that their area of responsibility and the entire IT department adhere to all departmental audits, Sarbanes-Oxley, and other internal mandatory controls.


The PMO Manager will also liaise with all business departments and work on responsibilities. This role requires a deep understanding of business processes and effectively bridging the gap between IT and business units.


Essential Functions

  • You will oversee the PMO, including office procedures, tools, all IT projects, and the IT Audit function
  • Lead and participate in project/area planning, resource planning, and other IT management functions, including employee motivation events
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with all team members to foster a collaborative work environment
  • Act as a critical liaison between IT and all business departments, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to meet business needs
  • Engage in tasks similar to those of a business analyst, such as setting priorities, requirements gathering, process analysis, and solution recommendation, while focusing on strategic IT initiatives
  • Act as the primary communicator on all matters related to IT projects, ensuring transparency and alignment across teams
  • Maintain and update the relevant system, process documentation, and develop ad-hoc reports as needed
  • Lead product and vendor selection through a documented due diligence process and manage vendor and contract negotiations, working effectively with legal services
  • Collaborate with vendors of outsourced functions, managed services, maintenance agreements, and service agreements
  • Work closely with IT managers and managers on projects, such as implementing business application software
  • Collaborate with the IT management team to maximize resource utilization and ensure efficient project delivery
  • Directly oversee projects, ensuring successful execution and alignment with business goals
  • Develop and maintain strong communication and collaboration across IT and business areas to achieve project and functional area goals
  • Work with internal and external auditors to track assigned technology findings through resolution, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley controls.
  • Ensure accurate creation and maintenance of all assigned capital project budgets and deliverables, including labor tracking.
  • Develop and update support or IT business processes to support new projects or accommodate the evolving needs of a growing company.


Requirements

  • Management certification, such as PMP or equivalent
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft O365 and Microsoft Project. Experience with Trello, Jira, Monday.com, or ServiceNow is a plus
  • Project Management Skills: Expert skills in resource management, project prioritization, timeline management, and project delivery tracking
  • Leadership & Flexibility: Demonstrated ability to lead, direct, and oversee staff project work with flexibility and adaptability
  • Compliance: Strong conceptual understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley controls and the ability to eliminate risk and achieve real value through compliance
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate across all layers of the organization
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, solid understanding of IT technical issues, and aptitude for analytical problem-solving
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills focusing on controls, processes, and procedures.
  • Travel: Minimal travel is required
  • Business Acumen: Ability to grasp and comprehend business functions and their implications on IT projects
  • Multi-tasking: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
