Operations Project Manager

Seeking a project management professional to join the Enterprise Operations department of a client's manufacturing company in Bayonne, NJ.

The Project Manager will build and maintain efficient processes, facilitate cross-functional meetings, reliably deliver work within established budgets and time frames, and will be a "value add" for a company with strong growth history.

Strong candidates will have strong communication skills, are detail oriented, have strong working knowledge of using MS Excel, and are commutable to the Bayonne office 3+ days/week.

This is a 40 hr/week contract to hire opportunity, with expected conversion ~6 months.

This is not an IT-focused PM position.


Summary:

  • Main responsibilities are building project plans, overseeing project meetings, managing SKU rationalization, inventory, and writing training documentation
  • Deep analysis for project planning and manage steps throughout the project lifecycle
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality service delivery and compliance with contracts.
  • Facilitate cross-functional team meetings to drive project progress and meet objectives.
  • Enhance communication between internal business units.
  • Monitor performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of business operations project management experience
  • Associates Degree
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, formulas, functions – macros not required).
  • Excellent vendor management skills with a focus on building strong partnerships.
  • Exceptional meeting facilitation skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.
  • Experience coordinating and managing cross-functional project teams, bridging communication gaps between teams in different departments.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Scrum knowledge a plus.
