Job Overview

The Manager of the Engineering Operations team is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the engineering team to deliver new product. You will support the engineering organization with product ownership and project management through creation of product roadmaps, business requirements, resource management, prioritization of work, project planning and efficient execution of agile product development.


We are looking for someone with a strong technical background, excellent communication skills and experience in both strategic and operational project management.


Responsibilities

  • Functional management of Engineering Operations team
  • Creation and management of product roadmap
  • Contributing to strategic planning initiatives to meet organizational objectives
  • Management of business priorities
  • Creation of business level product requirements
  • Coordinating cross functional teams to deliver successful product
  • Recognizing and managing project risks with mitigation strategies
  • Motivating, driving collaboration and partnership amongst team members
  • Triaging and resolving project and personnel escalations
  • Communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment and transparency
  • Continuous improvement of Engineering Operations team, processes, and tools
  • Mentoring and developing team members
  • Management of multiple projects simultaneously


Skills and Requirements

  • Proven leadership skills
  • Preferred bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or related field
  • Proven experience in a managerial or leadership role within an engineering organization
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) preferred
  • Casino gaming experience
  • Outstanding people skills with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Exceptional operational, planning and coordination skills
  • Deadline-driven, organized, and able to multi-task
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully leading engineering projects to completion
  • Able to work independently without direction
  • Willingness to handle responsibilities regardless how big or small
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once and prioritize needs
  • Problem solver, comfortable with ambiguity and proven ability to create clarity
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements in the engineering domain
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and fostering a collaborative work environment
