Our client is seeking a Director, Brand Lead to help drive marketing, brand strategy, and key tactical execution for one pipeline product. Reporting to the Vice President, Sales and Marketing, the person in this role will develop and manage brand and launch plans for the brand in the US market, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to develop and successfully execute brand strategy, and develop and implement company brand guidelines and strategy.


Responsibilities:

  • Drives US marketing strategy, including the creation of brand strategy plans, launch plans, competitive readiness plans, and key sales messages.
  • Drives and executes a robust commercial HCP and consumer strategy for the brand and ensures alignment across all key cross-functional stakeholders, including medical, market research, and sales.
  • Manages the brand performance and diagnoses as needed, leading partnership efforts with Global leaders to define life-cycle priorities, informing labeling recommendations, and sharing insights across markets.
  • Manages budget for the brand and manages the engagement with external partners/agencies.
  • Works effectively within the established corporate and industry compliance guidelines and supports improvement of the processes.
  • Works across the company to develop an omni-channel engagement strategy and customer engagement model including creative and innovative digital tactics.
  • Interfaces with high-performing field teams including sales, nurse educators, and regional marketing teams.
  • Hires and retains talent and works collaboratively to develop and mentor high-performing teams.
  • Partners with Global Marketing to develop compelling brand positioning and messaging.
  • Collaborates with Sales, Business Operations, Market Access, and Commercial Leadership to achieve brand goals.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, preferably in business or life sciences.
  • MBA or Graduate degree in Life Science preferred.
  • Oncology brand experience is required.
  • US marketing experience and launch experience in the US. Experience in planning marketing strategies, advertising campaigns, and successful public relations efforts.
  • 5+ years’ experience in brand management, and/or strategic marketing, and commercial development in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industries.
  • Hematology experience is strongly desired, including in-line and pipeline products.
  • Highly proficient in key software like Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Veeva CRM, etc.
  • Analytical capability.
  • Language skills: English
  • Individuals must demonstrate the ability to interact successfully in a dynamic and culturally diverse workplace.
  • May be required to work beyond normal business hours, including evenings and/or weekends (e.g., teleconference with counterparts of Japan parent company) as business needs dictate.
