Position Description:

Software Developers work to design, develop, test, deploy and support Arrivos software and related systems in a team-focused environment. Developers are primarily responsible for coding and unit testing components within the Arrivos framework and using the Tegrit development methodology. Must possess strong analytical skill to understand business requirements and program accordingly. The culmination of skills technique, experience, and teamwork will be utilized in supporting a collaborative work environment between users, team members, and business partners.


*Please note: This is not a remote position, the position is on site in Livonia, MI for the first 3-6 months, depending on how quickly you pick things up in the onboarding and learning phase. After those first 3-6 months, you will have the flexibility to decide to continue working on site or switch to hybrid.


Major Job Functions

  1. Design and develop code using the latest techniques under guidance of System Architect
  2. Analyze business requirements and problems to identify the most effective solution
  3. Use source code management and collaborative software development tools
  4. Work closely with business analysts to create user stories from business requirements
  5. Assist testing and documentation teams
  6. Work in a collaborative team environment, including providing guidance to Tegrit developers, regular code reviews and training
  7. Continuous self-improvement through ongoing education, training and self-directed learning and improvement
  8. Participation and direct accepted project methodology
  9. Develop and demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the Company’s business operations
  10. Perform unit and integration testing before launch
  11. Conduct functional and non-functional testing
  12. Troubleshoot and debug applications
  13. Evaluate existing applications to reprogram, update and add new features
  14. Develop technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design and code


Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience developing projects in .Net Environment
  • Demonstrated competency in reading, understanding, and debugging existing legacy code bases
  • Experience solving clients’ problems and designing solutions in line with business requirements
  • Mentor less experienced developers, participate and drive collaborative programming, answering questions and providing solutions to complex coding problems and challenges
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
