Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will primarily provide care for patients recovering from hand and foot/ankle surgeries, as well as those with related chronic conditions or injuries. You will also be encouraged and supported to accept outside referrals, allowing you to build your own patient base and expand your expertise across a wide range of orthopedic conditions and rehabilitation needs.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement therapeutic interventions, including exercise, manual therapy, and modalities.
- Educate patients on home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies.
- Document patient progress and communicate effectively with referring physicians.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in professional development activities to stay current with best practices.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Current Virginia state license or eligibility for licensure.
- Experience in orthopedic and/or hand therapy preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Passion for patient care and commitment to professional growth.
