Position Overview:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will make an impact at Old Republic by building strong diverse teams across the entire Old Republic umbrella. This role’s responsibilities are primarily focused on engaging active applicants and sourcing passive talent, while also focusing on hiring process development and providing the best experience possible to both candidates and hiring managers alike. Essential Job Functions:
- Creates job descriptions/requisitions for a variety of positions and departments throughout Old Republic.
- Utilize tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter to actively source passive talent and build diverse talent pipelines.
- Provides the highest level of customer service to both candidates and hiring partners within the company.
- Conducts thorough resume reviews and aligns candidate skillsets with open positions within the company.
- Cultivates and maintains strong working relationships with hiring managers across all teams and departments within Old Republic.
- Partners with the business to prepare and deliver verbal job offers, while generating legally compliant offer letters.
- Collaborates with all members of the Human Resources department to ensure seamless hiring process and onboarding for all hired applicants.
- Work closely with recruiting vendors when it is appropriate to do so.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with all levels of staff from administrative to executive level.
- Other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience working within recruitment, experience within both agency and corporate environments is a plus.
- Proven history of utilizing creative sourcing strategies and executing searches to find passive talent.
- Experience hiring for roles within the insurance industry is a plus.
- You’re a self-starter who is proactive in searches and actively seeks out solutions without being asked to do so.
- Ability to prioritize multiple high-importance tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- You have a strong collaborative mindset and thrive in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to drive and influence decision-making by using data gathered within the hiring process.
- Able to work within an ambiguous environment where you’re empowered to make decisions.
