Job Summary:

The Laboratory Technician will perform routine analytical and laboratory testing to support food safety, quality, and operational teams. This role requires a motivated individual responsible for conducting product testing, monitoring instrumentation performance, and collaborating cross-functionally to enhance food safety, quality, and regulatory practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine analysis and testing of products to ensure food/feed safety and quality.
  • Check and monitor instrumentation performance, run calibration checks, and perform preventive maintenance tasks, including simple repairs.
  • Document and interpret test results, entering data into databases and communicating findings to internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety programs and regulations, monitoring adherence to established safety standards.
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative inspections and laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process, and final products.
  • Support complex trials and experiments with guidance under intermediate supervision.
  • Maintain and update customer specification books and ensure all test procedures meet quality standards.
  • Handle clerical and technical support tasks, escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Interpret and follow safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Write routine reports and maintain accurate correspondence records.

Education Requirements:

  • Required: Associate Degree in a Science-related field or High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Preferred: Associate Degree in a Science field with a foundational understanding of basic science and analytical techniques.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must complete a background check and drug test.
  • Facility tours provided for candidates prior to job offer.
