About the Role: The Production Superintendent will manage team members and ensure the quality of work across departments during the scheduled shift. Shift hours are scheduled for a 60-hour work week on second shift.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate the production process to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of orders.
  • Manage production schedules, allocate resources efficiently, and prioritize project deadlines.
  • Address and resolve production challenges or bottlenecks to enhance productivity.
  • Enhance and refine manufacturing processes and procedures, focusing on continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Liaise with the Maintenance Department to manage equipment repairs and address issues that could impact facility performance.
  • Directly handle performance management and disciplinary actions for team members.
  • Promote and maintain a Safety-First Culture with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all production processes adhere to company standards and regulations.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manages production operations during assigned shifts with a priority on safety.
  • Develop work schedules to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Stays informed about processes and equipment.
  • Maintains a safe, healthy, and organized work environment.
  • Provides coaching and performance reviews for direct reports.
  • Reports equipment issues to the maintenance department.
  • Ensures employees adhere to safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Undertakes additional related tasks as needed.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production operations and machinery.
  • Excellent supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to complete reports and logs.


Education and Experience:

  • 2-3 years of experience supervising in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft programs, including Word and Excel
  • Experience collecting data, defining problems, and developing solutions
  • General equipment repair and maintenance experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of manufacturing tools and equipment
  • Ability to create and adhere to production processes


Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to traverse the production facility.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
