Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Physician Investigator with a primary care background to join our dynamic team. As a Physician Investigator, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and overseeing clinical research studies aimed at evaluating new treatments, medical devices, and interventions. Your expertise in primary care will be instrumental in ensuring the safety, efficacy, and ethical conduct of clinical trials.


Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the research team to develop research protocols, including study design, eligibility criteria, and data collection methods.
  2. Recruit, screen, and enroll eligible participants into clinical trials, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards.
  3. Conduct comprehensive medical assessments and examinations of study participants, including medical history review, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing as necessary.
  4. Monitor and manage participant safety throughout the duration of clinical trials, promptly addressing adverse events and implementing appropriate interventions.
  5. Collect, analyze, and interpret clinical trial data, preparing reports and presentations for internal review, regulatory submissions, and scientific conferences.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of study activities, participant interactions, and adverse events in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  7. Collaborate with external stakeholders, including pharmaceutical sponsors, regulatory agencies, and healthcare providers, to facilitate the successful execution of clinical trials.
  8. Stay abreast of advancements in primary care medicine, clinical research methodologies, and regulatory requirements, applying best practices to enhance study outcomes and participant safety.


Qualifications:

  1. Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  2. Board certification in Primary Care (e.g., Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Pediatrics) preferred.
  3. Active medical license in Pennsylvania
  4. Experience in clinical research, with a strong understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and regulatory requirements. Liver focus a plus.
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including study participants, colleagues, and sponsors.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and analysis.
  7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  8. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
