Our Challenge:

As a Java Developer, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to work on complex technical requirements. You will be responsible for managing multiple engagements, prioritize and resolve complex problems and escalate as necessary, in a fast-paced environment.


The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, delivering high availability and performance.
  • Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing.
  • Implement and maintain Java-based microservices and components within a Spring Boot framework.
  • Ensure designs comply with specifications and that code is written to a high standard.
  • Analyze user requirements to define business objectives.
  • Envision system features and functionality by consulting with product management and engineering teams.
  • Prepare and produce releases of software components.
  • Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
  • Deploy applications in a cloud computing environment.


Requirements:

You are:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven hands-on Software Development experience.
  • Proven working experience in Java development.
  • Hands-on experience with Core Java, including a deep understanding of the Java Memory Model, exception handling, and multithreading.
  • Experience designing and developing microservices architecture.
  • Profound insight into Java and JEE internals (Classloading, Memory Management, Transaction management, etc.).
  • Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL, and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate).
  • Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and writing comprehensive test cases using JUnit or TestNG.
  • Experience with Maven/Gradle, GIT, and continuous integration suites.
  • Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Cloud is a plus).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API development and microservices best practices.
  • Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
