OUTSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE – FRESNO
DEPARTMENT: Sales
STATUS: Exempt
REPORTS TO: Director of Sales
SUPERVISES: Not a supervisory role
Position Purpose / Summary
Under the general supervision of the Director of Sales, the Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving profitable revenue growth to the assigned territory. This is accomplished by retaining and growing assigned accounts in addition to securing new customers and new jobsites.
Shift/Hours
Monday – Friday; Weekends as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Manage Tier 1 and Tier 2 customers in the assigned territory.
· Visit sites regularly and conduct job walks.
· Complete required number of site visits and log daily in CRM.
· Complete required number of outbound phone calls and emails weekly and log in CRM.
· Log daily tasks and notes in CRM.
· Collaborate with Inside Sales to maximize territory growth and improve the customer experience.
· Build relationships with on-site supervisors and central office procurement teams.
· Partner with Operations team to meet or exceed customer expectations as it relates to delivery and installation schedules.
· Participation in networking opportunities and/or industry associations as outlined by management.
· Utilize lead sources as provided by the DOS.
· Send a weekly activity report to DOS.
· Conduct job walks with customers for measurements and dig alert clearance.
· Conduct all business within the established KSS policies and procedures.
· Create and maintain a positive, safe, and effective work environment.
· Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Proficiencies
- High School Diploma / GED.
- Degree in Business/Sales Administration a plus.
- 3 years of Outside Sales experience.
- Microsoft Office Suite and overall ability to work with computer systems.
- A strong ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Strong math skills to ensure accurate pricing and proposals.
- Effective communication skills.
- Reliability and trustworthiness.
- Time Management.
- Decision Making and Problem Solving.
- Knowledge of all product lines offered.
- Ability to multi-task and keep a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Valid Non-Commercial California Class C Driver's License and vehicle insurance at no less than California State minimum required limits of liability.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions (in some cases extreme heat/cold), moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. This position requires employees to travel regularly to off-site work locations and as such use of a vehicle will be provided.
Safety Requirements/Personal Protective Equipment
- The employee is required to wear all safety equipment (PPE) and comply with all health and safety policies and programs enforced by the Company.
Pay Range
- $55,000 - $70,000/DOE + commission
