Full-time opportunities at Capra Biosciences come with: 

·       $30 – 40/hr salary depending on experience

Responsibilities:

  • Installation and wiring of bioreactor control electronics
  • Instrumentation and sensor programing
  • Basic PCB or circuit design
  • PCB assembly
  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and calibration of process instrumentation, including sensors, transmitters, controllers, and actuators.
  • Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation and process equipment issues to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Install, configure, and commission new instrumentation and process equipment.
  • Monitor and control biomanufacturing processes, making adjustments as needed to maintain optimal conditions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Adhere to strict quality control and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience working with electronics for automation
  • Experience programing in C and C++
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in instrumentation control in a regulated industry, preferably biopharmaceutical or similar.
  • Experience working with ESP32 microprocessors
  • Experience with software and hardware for electrochemical sensors
  • Experience with bioprocess equipment, automation systems, and process control systems.
  • Knowledge of GMP regulations and quality systems.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and process control software.
