We have a client in Roswell, GA that has an immediate need for a controls engineer.


You will be responsible for:

  • Performing and leading engineering design and implementation activities for various Control System Projects.
  • The Controls Engineer can serve as lead controls engineering resource on multiple projects simultaneously while also being responsible for supporting existing controls systems to ensure safe and reliable system operation for our clients.
  • Perform project related work in a manner to ensure projects stay within budget and schedule
  • Assist with the management of vendors and contractors by participating in developing bid packages, reviewing proposals, reviewing statements of works, creating requisitions, reviewing invoices, etc.
  • Define test plans and methodologies to ensure control system solution functions and performs as intended and meets requirements
  • Responsible for ensuring control system design is properly documented to support development, implementation, purchasing, and maintenance using drawings, bills of material, data maps, and other related documents
  • Lead troubleshooting and issue resolution of problems related to controls systems, respond to inquiries related to the current operation of the controls solution and participates in incident analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Engineering Degree (Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical/Mechatronics/Computer Science), from an accredited college or university
  • 5+ years of Industrial Automation/Control System Engineering experience
  • Experience with Industrial Automation and Control Systems (PLCs, HMI Applications, Communication protocols, Instrumentation, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of standard engineering documentation for Control Systems: Control Narrative, Cause & Effect, Station Protection Matrix, Data Maps, etc.
  • Experience with Rockwell CLX PLC platforms and Rockwell FTV HMI solutions.
  • Experience with AVEVA System Platform HMI solutions (Wonderware)
  • Experience with process instrumentation: Flow, Temperature, Pressure, Density, etc.
  • Experience with various types of process equipment: Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Motor Controls, Pressure Control Valves, Motor Operated Valves, Level Measurement, etc.
  • Advanced level understanding of industrial protocols such as Modbus (serial and ethernet), Ethernet/IP, etc.
  • 5+ years Oil/Gas, Water/Wastewater or Food &Beverage industry experience
  • Valid Driver’s License and the ability to travel up to 35% of the time.

This is a direct hire permanent position and pay will be based on experience level
