OTC Trading Analyst


Location: Chicago, IL

Straits Financial is a Futures Commission Merchant based in Chicago. We are clearing members of CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX, DME, and CBOE. Our Chicago office is comprised of a 34-member team. We also have offices in Singapore, Shanghai, Jakarta, Dubai, New York, and New Jersey. 


The OTC Trading Analyst reports to the Operations department and works with other company staff to support day-to-day responsibilities in the area of OTC Trading.  


Responsibilities:

•       Enter OTC Trades into front end platform for tracking.

•       Assist in onboarding OTC customers.

•       Communicate with Operations to ensure timely reporting of trades to CME Swaps Data Repository

•       Communicate with Risk department to notify of new or updated trades, and impact to customer margin on deposit.

•       Support the OTC Department by responding to day-to-day inquiries from introducing brokers and their customers.

•       Work with Compliance Department to develop procedures that adhere to Regulatory guidelines.

•       Conduct periodic reviews and ongoing monitoring of firm accounts and transactions.


Candidate Skills/Requirements:

•       Minimum B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Math, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics or other related degrees.

•       Experience at a Futures Commission Merchant, Broker/Dealer, other financial registrant, or regulatory agency desired.

•       Proficiency in MS Office with an emphasis in Excel.

•       Ability to quickly learn and implement firm processes as well as learn various software programs.

•       Self-motivated, high level of dependability, team-oriented, organized, good attention to detail, and strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills required.
