Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technician Team Lead with expertise in lithium LiFePO4 batteries, specifically Epoch Batteries, for the marine and RV sectors. This leadership role requires a deep understanding of Victron Energy products, exceptional troubleshooting skills, and the ability to manage and mentor a team of technicians. The ideal candidate will lead a team to deliver top-notch technical support and ensure the effective operation of advanced battery systems.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Team Leadership & Management:

  - Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and support.

  - Delegate tasks effectively and manage team workflows to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects.

  - Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.


2. Technical Support & Maintenance:

  - Oversee and participate in the technical support and maintenance of Epoch LiFePO4 batteries in marine and RV applications.

  - Ensure the team adheres to best practices and industry standards in battery system installations and repairs.

  - Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to battery performance and associated systems.


3. Victron Energy Systems:

  - Direct and support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Victron Energy systems, including inverters, chargers, and monitoring equipment.

  - Ensure the team is proficient in using Victron products and provide technical solutions for system integration with Epoch LiFePO4 batteries.

  - Stay updated on Victron product developments and ensure the team is trained on new technologies.


4. Customer Support:

  - Act as a senior point of contact for critical customer issues and high-priority support requests.

  - Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and address escalated concerns.

  - Provide advanced technical advice and training to customers on battery systems and Victron equipment.


5. System Troubleshooting:

  - Lead efforts in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues related to both Epoch LiFePO4 batteries and Victron Energy systems.

  - Collaborate with engineering teams to identify root causes and develop effective solutions for recurring problems.

  - Oversee the implementation of corrective actions and ensure successful resolution.


6. Documentation & Reporting:

  - Maintain and oversee accurate records of service activities, repairs, and installations.

  - Prepare detailed reports and documentation for troubleshooting processes and customer interactions.

  - Analyze service data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and implement changes as needed.


7. Project Management:

  - Manage and coordinate technical projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

  - Develop project plans, allocate resources, and monitor progress to achieve project goals.

  - Communicate project updates and status to stakeholders and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.


Qualifications:


- Education: Associate degree in electrical engineering, Electronics, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience with lithium LiFePO4 batteries, including Epoch Batteries, in marine or RV applications. At least 2 years in a leadership or team lead role.

- Victron Expertise: Extensive experience with Victron Energy products, including inverters, chargers, and monitoring systems.

- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively, with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

- Troubleshooting Skills: Advanced ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues related to battery systems and associated components.

- Certifications: Relevant certifications in electrical systems or battery technologies are a plus.


Skills:

 - Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for battery and energy systems.

 - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

 - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.


Physical Requirements:


- Ability to lift and move equipment and batteries weighing up to [insert weight] lbs.

- Capability to work in various environments, including marine and RV settings, and under different weather conditions.
