Scientist III - in vitro primary cell culture

Cambridge, MA

6+ month initial contract

Hourly Pay Rate: $60-63/hr (individual medical benefits available at a cost)


Orion Group is seeking a highly experienced Scientist to work in Cambridge, MA for our global Pharmaceutical client.


The scientist will be responsible to run in vitro primary cell culture in 96-well plate format, perform serial dilutions of drug molecules, perform ELISA for cytokine analysis, and perform FACS flow cytometry analysis to look at cell populations changes and cell phenotype changes. Candidates with previous mRNA LNP production and characterization, and LNP antibody conjugation are preferred.

What are the top 3-5 skills, experience or education required for this position?

1. In vitro primary cell culture (human PBMC, Cyno PBMC and mouse splenocyte)

2. Serial dilutions of drug molecules and application of treatment using multichannel pipette

3. Live/Dead and antibody staining of cells and FACS flow cytometry run on BD FACS Canto II / Fortessa / LSR II and data analysis using FlowJo software

4. Good to have: mRNA LNP production and characterization

5. Good to have: LNP antibody conjugation


What is a nice to have (but not required) skill, experience, education, or certification?
