The School Social Worker will collaborate with students, families, teachers, and administrators to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges that may impede students' academic progress and overall well-being.


The base pay range for this position is $30 to $38 per hour. The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of the offer. This is a true temp-to-perm role; you can gain access to company benefits, paid time off, and more perks once you transition


Responsibilities:

  • Providing crisis intervention.
  • Developing intervention strategies to increase academic success.
  • Assisting with conflict resolution and anger management.
  • Helping the child develop appropriate social interaction skills.
  • Assisting the child in understanding and accepting self and others.
  • Identifying pupil needs and cooperating with other staff members to help students with health, attitudes, and learning problems.
  • Attending and participating in Child Study Team meetings.
  • Developing and implementing IEPs for classified students according to state and federal guidelines.
  • Adhering to the school’s guidelines and practices.


Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Social Work
  • School Social Work Certification required
  • Prior experience working with children in a school or other social service capacity.
