Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an Interim Controller for our client, one of Washington's largest nonprofit social services providers. This is an exciting 3-5 month opportunity located in Tacoma, WA
As the Interim Controller, you will work closely with the Chief Accounting Officer to prepare for the annual audit.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize Sage 100 software to ensure accurate recording and reporting of financial transactions.
- Prepare financial records and documentation to meet audit standards, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy.
- Adhere to audit timelines and prepare audit schedules to facilitate smooth audit processes.
- Excel in reconciliations, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with nonprofit audits, including advanced proficiency in balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger oversight.
- Expertise in preparing schedules for audits, demonstrating thoroughness and adherence to audit requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with accounting teams and internal agencies.
- Work closely with Clifton Larson Allen, the audit firm, to facilitate a seamless audit process.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of audit preparation experience
- NP 990 Audit experience preferred
- Expertise with Sage 100 software
- Expertise with balance sheet reconciliations
- Expertise with general ledger management
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
