Job Description

Breit Biniazan, P.C. is a personal injury law firm focused on representing the catastrophically injured throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. Founded in Virginia Beach, Virginia, the firm’s Richmond office is looking for a highly motivated, energetic, organized, and experienced paralegal to join the team on a full-time basis.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or Paralegal certification (preferred) with a minimum of three years of experience in civil litigation. Mass tort experience is a bonus.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures.
  • Experience with filing in state and federal courts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with legal research databases (Westlaw, LexisNexis) a plus.
  • Experience with E-Discovery highly preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritize deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive client interviews to gather facts and assess potential claims.
  • Prepare plaintiff fact sheets, intake forms, and other case documents.
  • Request, review, and organize medical records and other critical case documents.
  • Assist with legal research using online legal databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
  • Draft legal correspondence, including letters to clients, opposing counsel, and medical providers.
  • Draft pleadings to include, complaints, notices, motions, and other legal filings with the direct supervision of the attorney.
  • Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests.
  • Maintain a meticulous case calendar and track deadlines.
  • Prepare for and attend client meetings, depositions, and trials.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, experts, vendors, and other team members.
  • Ensure adherence to ethical guidelines and data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
