Lead Robotics Technician

Zone 4 is growing our Robotic Diagnostic and Repair Team in Bentonville, AR by adding a new Lead – Robotics Technician. We are seeking a candidate with experience working with electronics or robotics, who is willing to lead, learn, and advance their diagnostic and repair skills. This is a unique opportunity to join a small, tight-knit team leading the way in creating a top-notch diagnostic and repair operation, serving a major US retailer.


Position Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working on cars/trucks, robotics, computers, electrical, machine operation, etc. are considered valuable and transferable skills for robotics repair; although robotics experience preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Experience using MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Ability to analyze current processes and drive opportunities for improvement.
  • Self-starter, able to work with limited guidance.
  • Electro-Mechanical inspection experience.
  • Manufacturing repair or assembly experience a plus.
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to follow standard repair procedures and best practices
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, ability to meet goals, drive change
  • Excellent attention to detail, good organization skills.
  • Maintain a neat and organized work area.
  • Familiar with lean and six-sigma organizational concepts
  • Be open to change in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to operate basic material handling equipment, hand cranes, pallet jacks, etc.
  • Perform all physical duties of the job (lifting up to 50lbs, prolonged standing, bending, twisting, and reaching, typing, walking, etc)
  • Ability to use hands in high-dexterity operations
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English at a fluent level.


Educational Requirements:

  • Technical school background required
  • Related Technical Associates degree is a plus


Essential Functions:


  • Perform a wide variety of electro-mechanical assembly as well as final test
  • Will use hand tools and other tools specific to our process, as needed
  • Create and/or follow applicable documentation and instructions to assemble electro-mechanical subassemblies and finished level products.
  • Must be committed to safe work practices involving electrical diagnosis, material handling, and mechanical repair. Safety on the job is our #1 priority.
  • Provide feedback on Work Instructions, Tooling and Standard Operating Procedures for use in continuous improvement activities.
  • Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or products.
