Accentuate Staffing is working with a growing manufacturer just north of Raleigh. The Manufacturing Industrial Engineer is responsible for designing, evaluating, and improving production processes to ensure they are safe, cost-efficient, and aligned with industry standards. This role requires expertise in Industrial Engineering and Project Management to support the development and sustainability of manufacturing operations. A strong focus on continuous improvement, safety, quality, and efficiency is essential, with an emphasis on Lean methodologies.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Effective Communication: Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely and clear communication to meet project deadlines.
  2. Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with departments such as Operations, Product Engineering, Quality, Planning, Purchasing, Maintenance, and Warehouse to support daily activities and project execution
  3. Process Evaluation: Assess requests for manufacturing method changes, focusing on enhancing safety, quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness.
  4. Methodology Development: Propose and implement manufacturing and logistics strategies that enhance customer value through waste reduction, shorter cycle times, and improved product quality.
  5. Documentation Management: Lead the development and updating of work instructions to guide team members in performing their tasks effectively.
  6. Efficiency Analysis: Conduct ergonomic evaluations, identify cost-saving opportunities, and drive quality improvements across processes.
  7. Problem-Solving: Perform root-cause analysis and troubleshoot production issues as they arise.
  8. Time Studies: Execute time studies to establish production standards and refine process routing.


Qualifications:

  1. Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Distribution, or Logistics.
  2. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities efficiently.
  3. Independent Work Ethic: Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  4. Proactive Attitude: Highly motivated self-starter with a strong drive for results.
  5. Communication Proficiency: Excellent skills in writing, presenting, and organizing information.
  6. Pressure Management: Ability to perform well under pressure.
  7. Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of manufacturing processes including layout design, assembly, machining, tooling, and warehousing.
  8. Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills with a creative approach to innovation.
  9. Quality Focus: Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  10. Technical Proficiency: Advanced computer skills, particularly in AutoCAD and MS Office applications.
