Position Title: Inbuilding Construction Manager
The Inbuilding Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing all civil works and ensuring financial control, scheduling, quality management, and adherence to standards, as well as federal and local regulations on construction projects. The role involves working closely with external service providers, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution and high-quality outcomes.
What you will be doing as an Inbuilding Construction Manager:
- Site Design and Control: Assess and manage charges according to the agreed site design and ensure only customer-approved materials are used.
- Civil Works Oversight: Ensure that civil works guidelines and schedules are followed and enforced. Resolve issues and ensure all activities align with project goals.
- Safety and Quality Assurance: Conduct safety inspections, maintain an acceptable working environment, and ensure compliance with safety and construction standards.
- Coordination and Communication: Attend progress meetings, and coordinate activities across all disciplines involved in the project.
- Progress Reporting: Provide regular progress updates to the project management team and ensure accurate status reporting.
- Site Verification and Inspections: Perform pre-inspections, post-construction audits, and quality checks on site.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve any construction-related issues that may arise, ensuring they meet technical specifications and quality standards.
- Service Provider Management: Ensure service providers and vendors meet all technical specifications and quality standards. Reject incorrect material deliveries and report performance issues.
- Document Management: Maintain construction-related documents, including Site Handler updates, SOWs, safety guidelines, and construction reports.
- Leadership and Claims: Provide leadership and ensure quality results from the team. Write claims, manage material orders, and coordinate project closures.
Key Interfaces:
- External: ASP/SP, Customer PM
- Internal: IM Lead, Project Admin, Project Sponsor, CPM
What we are looking in a Inbuilding Construction Manager role:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience, including working on projects with builds of over 200 sites.
- Strong knowledge and skills in civil construction management and problem-solving.
- Ability to adapt procedures and methods to solve complex challenges.
- Proactive in contributing to improvements and change in the project.
- Independent work ethic with team leadership experience.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of workers' safety and work environment safety protocols.
- Strong understanding of civil design plans and proper interpretation for compliance.
- Experience in construction project management and oversight.
