Position Overview:


Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machine Learning Research Scientist to join their team. This role is ideal for a PhD holder with a strong background in machine learning, deep learning, LLMs, or generative AI, who has demonstrated excellence either through education at a top-tier institution or through significant contributions at a leading AI lab. The successful candidate will have at least 4 years of commercial experience in the field, combining both theoretical expertise and practical implementation skills.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct advanced research in machine learning, deep learning, LLMs, and generative AI to develop innovative solutions and contribute to the scientific community.
  • Design and implement novel algorithms and models, ensuring their scalability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research outcomes into practical applications and products.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, and apply this knowledge to ongoing projects.
  • Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and journals, representing the lab’s pioneering work in the AI field.
  • Mentor junior researchers and provide guidance on complex research problems and methodologies.


Qualifications:


  • PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related field, with a focus on deep learning, LLMs, or generative AI.
  • Proven track record of research excellence, evidenced by publications in top-tier conferences and journals.
  • Minimum of 4 years of commercial experience in machine learning or AI, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked at leading AI labs or top tech companies.
  • Expertise in designing, implementing, and evaluating machine learning models and algorithms.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and familiarity with ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
