Overview:

The company are on the lookout for a dynamic Mechanical Engineer to become an integral part of their team. This role entails spearheading the design, testing, and deployment processes for their aerial work platform team. The successful candidate will offer comprehensive leadership across designated project teams and will be responsible for managing a variety of complex projects, allocating the necessary resources to achieve project objectives while adhering to profitability goals. The company are renowned for manufacturing top-quality frame, system, and utility equipment, and event staging and seating.

As a Mechanical Engineer you will be instrumental in driving the design and development of custom machine tools. You will leverage your expertise in ANSYS and SolidWorks to create detailed 3D models and simulations, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Your role will involve extensive kinematic work, incorporating electrical design elements to enhance machinery functionality. Through your advanced experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA), you will analyze structural, thermal, and fluid flow issues, ensuring designs meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop custom machine tools using SolidWorks, ensuring high precision and performance.
  • Perform advanced simulations and analyses using ANSYS to optimize designs for structural integrity and efficiency.
  • Engage in kinematic studies and electrical design integration to improve machine functionality and user interaction.
  • Utilize FEA techniques to predict and solve complex engineering problems, ensuring designs adhere to industry standards and project specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and project management, to ensure seamless design-to-production transitions.
  • Continuously research and implement new technologies and methodologies to enhance design and development processes.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficient in ANSYS and SolidWorks, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
  • Extensive experience in the design and development of custom machine tools.
  • Deep understanding of kinematics, electrical design, and their application in machinery development.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) with a track record of solving complex engineering problems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage projects with tight deadlines.
