AmeriQual Foods is seeking a positive, effective leaders to act as Production Managers . Excellent benefits, weekly pay, and high annual bonus potential 1st shift hours approximately 7 am - 4 pm; 2ndshift approximately 3:30 pm - 1:30 am. Typically 5 shift workweek which may include some Saturdays. 2nd Shift premium - $5000 per year. Additional premium for Spanish/English bilingual speakers


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain the operational facility in the highest level of GMP compliance in accordance with USDA and customer expectations and ensure that all operations are compliant with AmeriQual Safety Standards and OSHA requirements
  • Lead the development, execution and monitoring of the operations strategy in line with the overall operational objectives to achieve performance, quality, and safety improvement and ensure achievement of manufacturing goals.
  • Ensure all company policies are adhered to and ensuring appropriate company disciplinary policies are followed consistently.
  • Provide operations and strategic support for capital projects
  • Maintain a clean, effective, efficient, orderly and safe plant
  • Utilize available data including OEE, line speed target, and efficiency and process data to continuously improve productivity, uptime and reliability.
  • Continually coach, direct and train employees while monitoring work performance and attitude


Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, management, or related field preferred
  • 10+ years in a manufacturing management, preferably in process-oriented operations; 5+ years in a food production environment (ideally in ready-to-eat)
  • Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, team building, mentoring and people management skills
  • Ability to create accountability, lead by example and positively influence others
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, ability to make decisions, solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations
  • Experience with USDA, GMP’s, SQF, HACCP, OSHA, and other industry related regulations


Physical requirements

This job operates in an office environment but may require exposure to manufacturing plant conditions. While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds. Position will frequent the production floor, so operating in standard seasonal warehouse and food processing plant temperature conditions will be required. Work is completed in a facility where nuts, fruits and other allergens are present.
