Job Summary:

  • Gain fundamental understanding of work instructions and visual specifications used as acceptance and rejection criteria.
  • Visually inspects product and segregates nonconforming material to work instructions and/or visual specifications.
  • Adequately describe identified defects in QN descriptions for the purposes of further material review.
  • Solumina software navigation, including ability to correctly read and interpret work instructions, identify holds, research material, and either accept or reject product.
  • SAP software navigation, including ability to research QN’s to aid defect descriptions and interpret dispositions on previously QN’d material.
  • 1st shift

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain inspection stamp integrity as dictated by procedural requirements. Inspect material without escapes. Obtain DX level inspection stamp.
  • Perform simple and/or routine over inspections in the production the lines.
  • Adhere to CORE guidelines and perform CORE duties as required.
  • Initiate E1819 manufacturing inspection ticket.
  • Achieve understanding of how and when to initiate a variation.
  • Understand how and when to submit work orders and/or help desk ticket requests.
  • Adhere to all EH & S guidelines, including wearing of required personal protective equipment.
  • Understands and follows Pratt & Whitney’s policies and procedures.
  • May be required to carry out tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this position in support of department objectives and to develop one’s skills.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year experience in manufacturing inspection
