  • Model and promote safety in all aspects of work. Conduct safety meetings and ensure OSHA and MSHA regulations are adhered to. Enforce James Hamilton Construction Co.’s safety program and policies.
  • Have ownership of the work and become an expert in the project plans and specifications.
  • Manage and coordinate all construction activities, including scheduling of equipment, materials, and manpower, to optimize safe execution of productivity and efficiency.
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors' work activities, schedule, and quality.
  • Coordinate monthly project estimates and schedule updates with the Project Manager, the main office, and owner as necessary.
  • Prepare accurate and timely project reports, progress updates, cost estimates, and other documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain oversight of projects and assist management in helping projects make or beat their budget and schedule.
  • Provide leadership and guidance by mentoring Foremen, promote learning, and upward movement of crew members across all disciplines.
  • Maintain thorough and organized project records, including documentation of all project-related correspondence, approvals, quantities, and activities.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to road construction to continuously improve project outcomes and performance.
  • Oversee the care and maintenance of equipment. Coordinate repairs and planned maintenance with company maintenance technicians.
  • Assist in coordination and execution of preconstruction activities as needed.
  • Assist management in developing and implementing project procedures, working documents, and standards to ensure project goals are achieved.
  • Work area would be in the Lubbock, Odessa, El Paso TXDOT Districts, and southeastern New Mexico.
