Remmie, Inc. (www.remmiehealth.com) is an emerging star in the home medical device and telemedicine service industry. We launched our product to the public market in September 2020 and have been collaborating with leading telemedicine platforms to serve end users and medical professionals.  


We are looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer responsible for the development and maintenance of Remmie Mobile Apps. Your primary focus will be the development of iOS apps and spending some time on our Android apps. You will be working alongside other engineers and developers working on different layers of the tech stack.  


This is a fully remote position, but we strongly prefer candidates living in CA or WA; or willing to relocate. 


Responsibilities 


  • Collaborate with Remmie teammates to implement features/functionalities and bugfixes for our iOS and Android apps 
  • Develop skills in optimizing Remmie apps for performance, usability, and user-centric design 
  • Learn and implement best practices for mobile app security, database integration, and API calls  
  • Analyze app performance metrics and draw insights for enhancements 
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in iOS development and test, and adapt to the evolving mobile tech landscape 
  • Participate in team discussions and provide innovative solutions for app development challenges 
  • Contribute to other technical initiatives such as improving AI model, testing, etc. 


Requirements 


  • 3 years of experience developing mobile applications. iOS/Swift experience is a must, some exposure to Android/Kotlin app development. 
  • Backend experience with NodeJS or PHP is a plus 
  • Solid knowledge of software engineering processes, agile framework, tools, methods, mobile test automation, algorithms and data structures 
  • Hardworking, willing to learn, proactive, responsible, and good at communication. 
  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team 
  • Great communication skills. 
  • Must be physically in the US.

Experience 


  • Swift: 4 years (Required) 
  • Kotlin: 2 years (Preferred) 
  • SQL: (Preferred) 
  • PHP: (Preferred) 
  • JavaScript: (Preferred) 
  • HTML/CSS: (Preferred) 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • 4+ years extensive consumer facing iOS/Swift development experience with track record of good apps built. 
  • 2+ years of in-depths consumer facing Android app development experience 
  • 2+ years of PHP/Nodejs backend experience, familiar with integrate and build Restful or GraphQL APIs 
  • Familiar with MySQL or PostgreSQL database 
  • Physically present in US 
  • Living in CA/WA, or willing to relocate
