Primary Responsibilities:

· Lead, mentor, and supervise a crew of industrial maintenance technicians, providing guidance, direction, and support to achieve project goals and objectives

· Assign tasks, prioritize work orders, and coordinate daily activities to optimize productivity and resource utilization

· Perform regular safety inspections and audits, identify safety hazards, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks according to industry best practices for safety (by OSHA standards)

· Handles complicated customer situations by understanding work order requests, investigating complaints, understanding the problem, and communicating with customer representatives to coordinate maintenance activities

· Diagnose complex electrical and mechanical problems by reading drawings and schematics to troubleshoot systems, repair or replace components, and perform startup of various procedures and protocols

· Use various tools and equipment, including hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment, to perform maintenance tasks

· Generate and or audit service reports that explain the work provided, parts provided, and clear understanding of the issue, the solution, and any follow-up needed. Ensure timesheets, expense reports, and parts lists are completed in a timely and professional manner.

· Ensure that all field personnel are properly trained and equipped based on their job tasks

· Ensure all assigned company vehicles, trailers, equipment, and tools are operational, clean, and safe

· Mentor Maintenance Millwright I and Maintenance Millwright II in systematic troubleshooting methods to determine the key root cause, complex equipment operations, ability to determine and perform an exchange of defective parts, proper documentation, and communication


Required Knowledge, Skill, Abilities, and Competencies:

· Complete pre-employment skills evaluation consistent with Field Service Technician III capabilities

· Ability to provide both customers safe, clean, reliable, on-time, courteous service

· High level knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work of the trade and to work sites

· High level expertise of the standard methods, practices, materials, tools and equipment of the industrial maintenance trade. Specific knowledge of control systems and large-scale networks of equipment and related infrastructure.

· Ability to analyze and develop plans, drawings, work samples, specifications and work orders to determine work requirements, sequence of assignments, and personnel needs

· Ability to interpret, explain and apply codes, rules and regulations involved in assigned maintenance activities

· Must be able to weld steel, including light gauge stainless, at an intermediate level

· Advance understanding of machines and their systems to include but not limited to pneumatic, hydraulic, bearings, levers, channels, pulleys, cams, and camshafts

· Basic experience with Control systems utilizing Allen Bradley, Siemens and B&R PLC’s

· Electromechanical experience with conveyance systems, understanding sensors, electric motors and how they interact

· Ability to use five senses to detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisor and customer

· Highly proficient with the use precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc.) fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances

· Ability to interpret layouts, drawings, blueprints, P&ID’s manufacturer's specifications, and other technical plans

· Professional appearance and demeanor

· Ability to lift, carry, and handle items weighing up to 50lbs frequently

· Ability to understand, execute, and give oral and written instructions

· Strong problem-solving skills

· Ability to handle multiple priorities

· Ability to travel to client locations and be “on call” at certain times


Required Education, Training, and Certifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Documented 6-10yrs of experience as industrial maintenance technician or related trade experience or military training (electrical, mechanical, electronics)

· Documented experience of leading crews

· Computer literacy: competency in use of all programs within Microsoft Office products and aptitude for learning specialized software programs

· Must have or obtain OSHA10-Construction certification within 90 days of hire

· Must have valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and pass a pre-employment drug screen
