Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Coordination:
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Manage and oversee all phases of the construction process, from pre-construction to project closeout.
  • Schedule and conduct regular project meetings to monitor progress and address any issues.
  • Budget and Cost Management:
  • Establish and manage project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met.
  • Monitor project costs and implement cost-saving measures as necessary.
  • Review and approve project-related expenses, invoices, and change orders.
  • Prepare and present regular financial reports to senior management and clients.
  • Client and Stakeholder Management:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships throughout the project.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on project status and address any concerns.

  • Quality Control and Compliance:
  • Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure work meets industry standards and project specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Address and resolve any issues related to construction quality or safety.
  • Risk Management and Problem Solving:
  • Identify potential risks to project success and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the construction process.
  • Ensure that all project-related challenges are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Adapt project plans as necessary to accommodate changes in scope, schedule, or budget.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead and manage project teams, including project engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors.
  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members to foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve team performance.
  • Ensure that project teams are adequately staffed and equipped to meet project goals.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, codes, and regulations.
  • Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam).
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction.
  • Certifications: PMP, LEED, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
